About the book
"Anomalies of the Soul" is a work composed of eight stories which, although each can be read on its own, are connected by a common concern: the human being and everything that takes place within.
Throughout these stories, Flodian Maloku explores themes such as love, death, guilt, temptation, friendship, loneliness, relationships with others, and the conflict between the individual and the rules imposed by society. The characters often find themselves facing choices where right and wrong are not easily separated, while what may initially seem reasonable can lead to entirely different consequences.
In this work, an “anomaly” is not necessarily something that must be avoided or corrected. It appears as a crack in ordinary life, a moment when a person steps outside what is familiar and is forced to look more closely at themselves, their desires, and their own limits. It is precisely within these cracks that the stories of the book emerge.
Together, the eight stories create a world where the ordinary can suddenly become unusual, where a seemingly small decision can take on much greater consequences, and where a person is not always capable of fully understanding what drives them to act.
Eight stories, eight situations, eight ways of seeing the human being at the moment when everything that once seemed stable begins to shift. In each of them, something changes, something is revealed, and something is left behind, making it impossible for the reader to see the story as merely an ordinary tale.
